International Youth Media Summit - 2022

IYMS’s signature event is a two-week annual Summit attended by youth activists, filmmakers, storytellers, artists and journalists from all over the world. At the Summit, these young people tackle some of the world’s most challenging issues to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They use filmmaking, one of the most powerful tools we possess to affect hearts and change minds. IYMS offers mentorship, guidance, and capacity support in technical training and thematic understanding of the issues in question. Apart from panel discussions and group mentorship, our partner organizations will also aid the ideation of the Summit, support its smooth functioning, offer expertise on thematic issues concerning the SDGs and film-making skills, respectively, and aid the formation and dissemination of policy briefs and films produced during the initiative through their channels.
